Objectives

Besides pursuing the general goals defined by GIACC, GIACC-Colombia is working to achieve the following objectives:

• Promote ISO 37001 anti-bribery management systems standard.
• Modify the requirements to obtain the Compulsory Engineers License, incorporating an exam that ensures that engineers have a clear understanding of the Code of Ethics, and the penalties to which an engineer can be subject in case of non-compliance. Both of these, code and penalties, are defined per law.
• Improve the Corruption Perceptions Index ranking for Colombia.
• Develop a practical ethics course for engineers during their undergraduate studies.
• Translate the content of GIACC website into Spanish.
