GIACC Anti-Corruption Training Workshops

1. "Preventing Corruption in the Infrastructure Sector"

GIACC is providing a three day anti-corruption training workshop which will be held in Amersham, England. The workshop title is "Preventing Corruption in the Infrastructure Sector". This workshop is being provided by GIACC working in alliance with the World Federation of Engineering Organisations and the World Council of Civil Engineers.

The workshop will give participants a detailed understanding of what corruption is, how corruption takes place in the infrastructure sector, and how it can be prevented. It will equip participants with the necessary knowledge and materials to undertake any or all of the following:

Lead the implementation of an anti-corruption programme in their own organisation, or on a project which their organisation is developing.

Lead or promote an anti-corruption strategy in their home country.

Encourage government, funders and companies in their home country to adopt anti-corruption management systems.

Provide anti-corruption training.

2. Government and corporate training workshops

GIACC provides anti-corruption training workshops by specific agreement between governments or companies. The workshop programme can be adapted in accordance with the organisation's requirements. Matters discussed at these workshops are treated in the strictest confidence. These workshops need to be arranged by specific agreement with GIACC. For further details, contact GIACC.

GIACC/Tl(UK): Anti-Corruption Training Manual

GIACC and Transparency International (UK) have published a free Anti-Corruption Training Manual. It is designed specifically for the infrastructure, construction and engineering sectors. The Manual aims to help users achieve a better understanding of corruption and how to avoid it. It can be used by individuals and by companies as part of their corporate training. There are currently two versions of the Manual:
